Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Mining, Electricity and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE), which rose 4.88% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.430 at the close. Meanwhile, Bco Continenta (LM:CON) added 1.61% or 0.050 points to end at 3.100 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was up 1.57% or 0.020 points to 1.290 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which fell 7.41% or 0.036 points to trade at 0.450 at the close. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) declined 5.88% or 0.010 points to end at 0.160 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was down 3.61% or 0.030 points to 0.800.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 6 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.63% or 1.25 to $46.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 3.30% or 1.67 to hit $48.80 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.09% or 12.90 to trade at $1170.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.22% to 3.2505, while EUR/PEN rose 0.08% to 3.6718.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 95.00.
