Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Utilities and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 2.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which rose 9.47% or 0.05 points to trade at 0.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Public Power (AT:DEHr) added 7.52% or 0.36 points to end at 5.15 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was up 7.14% or 0.25 points to 3.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr), which fell 12.20% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.036 at the close. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) declined 11.11% or 0.003 points to end at 0.024 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) was down 9.13% or 1.05 points to 10.45.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 54 to 41 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr) fell to all time lows; falling 12.20% or 0.005 to 0.036.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.88% or 9.50 to $1074.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.80% or 0.75 to hit $40.99 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.69% or 0.76 to trade at $43.80 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.35% to 1.0650, while EUR/GBP fell 0.48% to 0.6996.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 99.70.
