Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Materials, Food, Beverages & Tobacco and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were P/f Bakkafrost (OL:BAKKA), which rose 3.90% or 10.20 points to trade at 271.50 at the close. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) added 3.59% or 6.80 points to end at 196.20 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 3.01% or 4.20 points to 143.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC), which lost 1.35% or 3.2 points to trade at 233.0 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 1.07% or 0.07 points to end at 6.01 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) shed 0.78% or 0.16 points to 20.25.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 113 to 53 and 33 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.49% or 0.24 to $48.99 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.40% or 0.21 to hit $51.92 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.83% or 10.55 to trade at $1266.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.71% to 9.3583, while USD/NOK rose 0.01% to 8.5518.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 98.64.
