Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 2.14% or 0.16 points to trade at 7.62 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.58% or 0.078 points to end at 5.030 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.41% or 0.53 points to 38.02 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which lost 1.21% or 0.41 points to trade at 33.49 in late trade. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) declined 1.05% or 0.44 points to end at 41.65 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 0.59% or 0.15 points to 25.15.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 88 to 84 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.06% or 0.03 to $49.15 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.19% or 0.09 to hit $48.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.82% or 22.05 to trade at $1189.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.57% to 1.0564, while EUR/GBP fell 0.91% to 0.8474.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.51% at 101.61.
