Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Real Estate, Beverage and Holding Companies sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 1.07% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were M2M Group (CS:M2M), which rose 5.61% or 12.75 points to trade at 239.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Nexans Maroc (CS:NEX) added 3.57% or 5.00 points to end at 145.00 and Med Paper (CS:PAP) was up 0.99% or 0.16 points to 16.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which fell 5.78% or 7.05 points to trade at 114.90 at the close. Jet Contractors (CS:JET) declined 5.55% or 10.00 points to end at 170.00 and Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) was down 5.13% or 8.65 points to 159.95.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 25 to 7 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Jet Contractors (CS:JET) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.55% or 10.00 to 170.00. Shares in Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) fell to all time lows; falling 5.13% or 8.65 to 159.95.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.25% or 0.12 to $47.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.66% or 0.82 to hit $48.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.15% or 1.70 to trade at $1117.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.07% to 10.9290, while USD/MAD fell 0.15% to 9.6578.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 95.39.
