Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Energy, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG), which rose 4.54% or 2.12 points to trade at 48.80 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) added 4.00% or 1.20 points to end at 31.30 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 3.84% or 1.28 points to 34.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA), which lost 4.88% or 13.1 points to trade at 255.3 in late trade. Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) declined 3.03% or 4.2 points to end at 134.2 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) shed 2.66% or 0.8 points to 31.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 93 to 86 and 16 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.87% or 0.40 to $45.83 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.34% or 0.64 to hit $46.96 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.37% or 4.75 to trade at $1270.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.63% to 9.2718, while USD/NOK fell 0.25% to 8.1451.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 94.06.
