Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Information Technology and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.07% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tumosan Motor Ve Traktor (IS:TMSN), which rose 10.53% or 0.650 points to trade at 6.820 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) added 6.48% or 1.25 points to end at 20.55 and Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL) was up 4.36% or 1.00 points to 23.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were T. Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB), which fell 5.35% or 0.54 points to trade at 9.56 at the close. Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD) declined 3.18% or 0.210 points to end at 6.390 and Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) was down 2.70% or 0.60 points to 21.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 260 to 140 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in T. Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) fell to 3-years lows; falling 5.35% or 0.54 to 9.56. Shares in Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL) rose to all time highs; up 4.36% or 1.00 to 23.95.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.39% or 4.30 to $1107.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.59% or 0.71 to hit $43.92 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.79% or 1.37 to trade at $47.67 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.39% to 3.0585, while EUR/TRY rose 0.14% to 3.4611.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 95.41.
