Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Sports and Real Estate Investments sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.24%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tumosan Motor Ve Traktor (IS:TMSN), which rose 9.87% or 0.770 points to trade at 8.570 at the close. Meanwhile, Good-Year (IS:GOODY) added 4.27% or 3.20 points to end at 78.15 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) was up 4.00% or 0.010 points to 0.250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Zorlu Enerji (IS:ZOREN), which fell 7.43% or 0.130 points to trade at 1.620 at the close. Besiktas Futbol Yat. (IS:BJKAS) declined 4.70% or 0.11 points to end at 2.23 and Eregli Demir Celik (IS:EREGL) was down 4.63% or 0.190 points to 3.910.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 266 to 128 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.49% or 16.40 to $1087.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.73% or 0.78 to hit $44.42 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.14% or 0.55 to trade at $47.44 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 2.27% to 2.9252, while EUR/TRY rose 0.86% to 3.1429.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.20% at 99.27.
