Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 1.49%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Buzzi Unicem (MILAN:BZU), which rose 1.11% or 0.17 points to trade at 15.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Campari (MILAN:CPRI) added 0.36% or 0.03 points to end at 6.96 and Unicredit (MILAN:CRDI) was up 0.35% or 0.0200 points to 5.7000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telecom Italia (MILAN:TLIT), which fell 3.40% or 0.0370 points to trade at 1.0520 at the close. Moncler SpA (MILAN:MONC) declined 3.25% or 0.51 points to end at 15.17 and Yoox (MILAN:YOOX) was down 3.25% or 0.91 points to 27.06.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 306 to 124 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.64% or 0.73 to $43.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.98% or 1.46 to hit $47.58 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.42% or 4.60 to trade at $1107.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.1307, while EUR/GBP fell 0.24% to 0.7330.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 95.43.
