Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Food, Beverages & Tobacco, Media and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 21.48% or 1.22 points to trade at 6.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) added 3.28% or 0.3 points to end at 9.4 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) was up 2.92% or 0.14 points to 5.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR), which fell 2.67% or 1.20 points to trade at 43.80 at the close. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) declined 1.90% or 16.0 points to end at 826.0 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was down 0.63% or 1.8 points to 283.3.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 98 to 84 and 3 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.16% or 0.05 to $30.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.91% or 0.59 to hit $30.36 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.60% or 6.50 to trade at $1091.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.79% to 9.5655, while USD/NOK fell 0.75% to 8.8096.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 99.05.
