Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Auto & components and Energy sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 2.31% or 0.15 points to trade at 6.65 at the close. Meanwhile, Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 1.33% or 3.3 points to end at 251.3 and Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) was up 0.82% or 0.26 points to 31.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC), which fell 5.14% or 2.6 points to trade at 47.6 at the close. Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE) declined 4.78% or 1.5 points to end at 29.9 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) was down 3.07% or 0.78 points to 24.62.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 118 to 59 and 2 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.81% or 0.89 to $32.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 3.75% or 1.22 to hit $33.79 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.34% or 3.80 to trade at $1116.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.39% to 9.4235, while USD/NOK fell 0.35% to 8.6723.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 99.17.
