Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 0.43% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT), which rose 3.16% or 0.0330 points to trade at 1.0760 at the close. Meanwhile, Exor (MI:EXOR) added 2.89% or 1.27 points to end at 45.22 and Azimut Holding (MI:AZMT) was up 2.73% or 0.54 points to 20.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which fell 2.67% or 0.3300 points to trade at 12.0100 at the close. Saipem (MI:SPMI) declined 2.59% or 0.2150 points to end at 8.1000 and CNH Industrial NV (MI:CNHI) was down 1.27% or 0.075 points to 5.840.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 262 to 170 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.18% or 1.04 to $46.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.51% or 1.26 to hit $49.20 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.85% or 10.00 to trade at $1173.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1322, while EUR/GBP fell 0.45% to 0.7317.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.22% at 94.97.
