Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Multi Investment and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310), which rose 6.30% or 0.75 points to trade at 12.65 at the close. Bupa Arabia for Coop. Insurance (SE:8210) added 5.63% or 7.50 points to end at 140.75 and Bawan (SE:1302) was up 3.64% or 0.80 points to 22.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi Printing & Packaging Company (SE:4270), which lost 3.50% or 0.80 points to trade at 22.05 in late trade. AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8250) declined 3.16% or 0.55 points to end at 16.85 and Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (SE:6060) shed 2.43% or 1.10 points to 44.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 92 to 53 and 23 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.10% or 0.05 to $48.26 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.39% or 0.19 to hit $49.09 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.59% or 7.50 to trade at $1269.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.32% to 4.2311, while USD/SAR fell 0.06% to 3.7498.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.18% at 94.72.
