Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Palm Oil, Services and Land & Property sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share fell 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Selinsing PLC (CM:SELI), which rose 16.98% or 229.20 points to trade at 1579.00 at the close. Central Investments and Finance PLC (CM:CIFL) added 16.67% or 0.100 points to end at 0.700 and Indo Malay PLC (CM:INDO) was up 13.92% or 231.00 points to 1890.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND), which lost 12.69% or 268.80 points to trade at 1850.00 in late trade. Printcare PLC (CM:CARE) declined 12.20% or 5.00 points to end at 36.00 and Multi Finance PLC (CM:MULT) shed 10.56% or 1.90 points to 16.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 115 to 67 and 49 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.23% or 0.10 to $43.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.09% or 0.04 to hit $44.57 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.14% or 1.70 to trade at $1248.60 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.20% to 210.170, while USD/LKR rose 0.15% to 146.730.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 94.84.
