Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Industry, Manufacturing and Miscellaneous Industry sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite gained 1.18% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Erajaya Swasembada Tbk (JK:ERAA), which rose 25.00% or 130 points to trade at 650 at the close. Pelat Timah Nusantara Tbk (JK:NIKL) added 24.29% or 17 points to end at 87 and Bank Mnc Internasional Tbk (JK:BABP) was up 14.75% or 9 points to 70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Rig Tenders Tbk (JK:RIGS), which lost 9.87% or 15 points to trade at 137 in late trade. Indal Aluminium Industry Tbk (JK:INAI) declined 9.76% or 40 points to end at 370 and Global Teleshop Tbk (JK:GLOB) shed 9.71% or 51 points to 474.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 193 to 86 and 96 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.95% or 0.67 to $33.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.76% or 0.28 to hit $36.53 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.02% or 0.30 to trade at $1230.50 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.26% to 13310.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.78% to 9640.35.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 98.47.
