Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Hotels & Tourism, Transport and Retail sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 4.49% to hit a new 3-years low.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Advanced Petrochemical Company (SE:2330), which rose 1.53% or 0.50 points to trade at 33.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Southern Province Cement Co. (SE:3050) added 1.15% or 0.75 points to end at 66.00 and Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) was up 0.71% or 0.20 points to 28.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AL-BABTAIN POWER &TELECOM CO (SE:2320), which fell 10.51% or 3.10 points to trade at 26.40 at the close. Al-Tayyar Travel Group Holding Co. (SE:1810) declined 9.93% or 6.75 points to end at 61.25 and Tourism Enterprise Co. (SE:4170) was down 9.93% or 4.50 points to 40.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 162 to 4.
Shares in AL-BABTAIN POWER &TELECOM CO (SE:2320) fell to 52-week lows; losing 10.51% or 3.10 to 26.40. Shares in Al-Tayyar Travel Group Holding Co. (SE:1810) fell to 52-week lows; falling 9.93% or 6.75 to 61.25.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 3.31% or 1.12 to $32.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.26% or 1.11 to hit $33.12 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.08% or 11.80 to trade at $1103.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.82% to 4.0805, while USD/SAR rose 0.09% to 3.7560.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.52% at 98.76.
