Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 7.53% or 0.264 points to trade at 3.770 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 7.14% or 0.1580 points to end at 2.3720 and Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) was up 6.44% or 1.16 points to 19.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which fell 6.28% or 0.470 points to trade at 7.015 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) declined 4.23% or 0.66 points to end at 14.94 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was down 3.18% or 1.00 points to 30.49.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 97 to 69 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.06% or 0.37 to $34.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.39% or 0.12 to hit $32.16 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 1.20% or 13.70 to trade at $1155.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.76% to 1.1189, while EUR/GBP rose 0.94% to 0.7678.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.63% at 96.64.
