Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Real Estate Development, Agriculture & Food and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.42% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Jazan Development Co. (SE:6090), which rose 9.24% or 1.45 points to trade at 17.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Saudi Real Estate Co. (SE:4020) added 5.00% or 1.15 points to end at 24.15 and Makkah Construction&Development Co (SE:4100) was up 4.92% or 4.00 points to 85.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co. (SE:2160), which fell 4.67% or 0.50 points to trade at 10.20 at the close. Al-Tayyar Travel Group Holding Co. (SE:1810) declined 2.61% or 1.75 points to end at 65.25 and Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310) was down 2.21% or 0.20 points to 8.85.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 89 to 77.
Shares in Saudi Arabian Amiantit Co. (SE:2160) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.67% or 0.50 to 10.20.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.59% or 0.26 to $42.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.47% or 0.68 to hit $45.49 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1070.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.18% to 3.9825, while USD/SAR fell 0.08% to 3.7532.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 99.88.
