Investing.com – Greece equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Household and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Sarantiseg (AT:SRSr), which rose 6.45% or 0.53 points to trade at 8.75 at the close. Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) added 5.91% or 0.22 points to end at 3.98 and Hygeia (AT:HYGr) was up 5.83% or 0.007 points to 0.127 in late trade.
Biggest losers included National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr), which lost 9.09% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.20 in late trade. Reds (AT:CAMr) declined 8.55% or 0.029 points to end at 0.310 and MLS Multimedia (AT:MLSr) shed 7.89% or 0.25 points to 2.92.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 40 to 39 and 18 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for April delivery was up 0.67% or 8.30 to $1252.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.26% or 0.11 to hit $41.41 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.46% or 0.19 to trade at $41.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.20% to 1.1220, while EUR/GBP rose 0.87% to 0.7892.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 95.58.
