Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Mining, Industrials and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 2.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 9.97% or 0.039 points to trade at 0.430 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) added 7.14% or 0.040 points to end at 0.600 and Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG) was up 6.84% or 0.080 points to 1.250 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sider (LM:SID), which lost 1.04% or 0.003 points to trade at 0.285 in late trade. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM) declined 0.43% or 0.001 points to end at 0.229 and Edegel (LM:EDE) 0.00% or 0.000 points to 2.580.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 24 to 3 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 3.03% or 1.51 to $48.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $49.74 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.26% or 3.40 to trade at $1323.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2865, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6647.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.27% at 95.95.
