Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which rose 4.28% or 12.2 points to trade at 297.1 at the close. Meanwhile, Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) added 1.71% or 3.1 points to end at 184.7 and Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) was up 1.69% or 1.20 points to 72.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were William Demant Holding (CO:WDH), which fell 2.58% or 16.0 points to trade at 604.5 at the close. Novo Nordisk B (CO:NOVOb) declined 0.66% or 2.5 points to end at 378.2 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) was down 0.27% or 1.5 points to 551.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 89 to 62 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 5.69% or 1.73 to $32.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 5.88% or 1.84 to hit $33.15 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.28% or 14.20 to trade at $1119.50 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.09% to 6.8845, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.4626.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 99.21.
