Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Investment sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 1.00% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 5.76% or 95.0 points to trade at 1745.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 2.92% or 170.0 points to end at 6000.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) was up 3.03% or 30.0 points to 1020.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p), which fell 1.40% or 15.0 points to trade at 1060.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 0.96% or 15.0 points to end at 1540.0 and Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) was down 0.70% or 260.0 points to 36640.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 22 to 10 and 2 ended unchanged.
US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.70% or 0.82 to $118.97 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.62% or 17.00 to hit $2780.50 , while the February Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1115.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 2.22% to 3282.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.33% to 806.21.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.46% at 98.57.
