Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Auto & components, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 2.45%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Yara International ASA (OSLO:YAR), which rose 4.24% or 13.6 points to trade at 334.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Marine Harvest ASA (OSLO:MHG) added 4.10% or 4.20 points to end at 106.60 and Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OSLO:REC) was up 3.75% or 0.05 points to 1.44 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS), which fell 2.20% or 0.2 points to trade at 11.1 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) declined 0.48% or 0.2 points to end at 52.0 and Opera Software ASA (OSLO:OPERA) was up 0.04% or 0.02 points to 46.88.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 139 to 41 and 1 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.98% or 0.44 to $45.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.09% or 0.04 to hit $48.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.69% or 8.00 to trade at $1145.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.47% to 9.5344, while USD/NOK rose 0.74% to 8.5130.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 96.37.
