Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Personal & Household Goods and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.73% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb), which rose 2.61% or 7.3 points to trade at 287.5 at the close. Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG) added 2.11% or 5.80 points to end at 280.50 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) was up 2.00% or 8.6 points to 438.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genmab (CO:GEN), which lost 1.18% or 15.0 points to trade at 1255.0 in late trade. TDC A/S (CO:TDC) declined 0.25% or 0.09 points to end at 35.78 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) gained 0.09% or 0.5 points to 574.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 82 to 40 and 14 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.58% or 0.31 to $53.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.71% or 0.40 to hit $55.83 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 2.15 to trade at $1276.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.01% to 7.0122, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.4369.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 100.61.
