Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 1.27% or 0.63 points to trade at 50.20 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 1.24% or 0.130 points to end at 10.630 and Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA) was up 0.99% or 0.32 points to 32.51 in late trade.
Biggest losers included UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which lost 3.22% or 0.74 points to trade at 22.21 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 0.95% or 0.055 points to end at 5.730 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 0.53% or 0.030 points to 5.640.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 74 to 66 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.84% or 0.44 to $52.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.39% or 0.69 to hit $50.20 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.47% or 5.85 to trade at $1247.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.38% to 1.0724, while EUR/GBP fell 0.85% to 0.8585.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 100.01.
