Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.01% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 2.83% or 0.2700 points to trade at 9.7950 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 0.99% or 0.110 points to end at 11.210 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 0.77% or 0.038 points to 4.978 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which lost 1.92% or 0.94 points to trade at 48.03 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 1.87% or 0.120 points to end at 6.305 and Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA) shed 0.67% or 0.23 points to 33.95.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 72 to 67 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.94% or 0.52 to $55.60 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.01% or 0.53 to hit $53.14 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.57% or 7.05 to trade at $1225.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.41% to 1.0549, while EUR/GBP rose 0.58% to 0.8617.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 101.95.
