Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Materials, Utilities and Media sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 5.73% or 2.95 points to trade at 54.40 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 3.99% or 12.4 points to end at 322.9 and BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG) was up 1.92% or 0.58 points to 30.76 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL:TGS), which lost 3.64% or 6.0 points to trade at 159.0 in late trade. SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) declined 3.52% or 7.20 points to end at 197.60 and Leroy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) shed 3.03% or 1.4 points to 44.1.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 83 to 73 and 36 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.71% or 0.76 to $45.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.64% or 0.77 to hit $47.65 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.21 to trade at $1213.41 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.16% to 9.5097, while USD/NOK fell 0.10% to 8.3202.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 95.73.
