Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Real Estate and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.43% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO), which rose 3.45% or 2.20 points to trade at 65.90 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) added 3.10% or 0.6 points to end at 19.6 and Lerøy Seafood Group ASA (OL:LSG) was up 2.34% or 10.3 points to 451.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 4.40% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.93 in late trade. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) declined 3.71% or 0.29 points to end at 7.52 and Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) shed 2.48% or 0.68 points to 26.71.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 72 and 30 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.03% or 0.47 to $46.04 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.90% or 0.42 to hit $47.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.25% or 3.05 to trade at $1226.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.01% to 9.0641, while USD/NOK rose 0.35% to 8.5062.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.27% at 100.65.
