Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Communication sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.64% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 1.00% or 36 points to trade at 3628 at the close. Discount (TA:DSCT) added 0.73% or 5.1 points to end at 701.3 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) was up 0.70% or 10 points to 1440 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nice Ltd (TA:NICE), which lost 3.52% or 900 points to trade at 24700 in late trade. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) declined 2.55% or 470 points to end at 17980 and Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) shed 1.90% or 710 points to 36690.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 243 to 85 and 116 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 3.09% or 1.44 to $45.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.97% or 1.43 to hit $46.71 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.36% or 17.55 to trade at $1305.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.14% to 3.8089, while EUR/ILS rose 0.43% to 4.2340.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.55% at 97.22.
