Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms Services, Materials and Consumer Goods & Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.17%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Telesites SAB de CV (MX:SITESL), which rose 5.11% or 0.540 points to trade at 11.110 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) added 4.11% or 6.660 points to end at 168.920 and Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) was up 3.93% or 1.600 points to 42.380 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresas ICA , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICA), which lost 6.25% or 0.230 points to trade at 3.460 in late trade. Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO) declined 2.43% or 2.510 points to end at 100.320 and Grupo Televisa SA (MX:TLVACPO) shed 2.14% or 2.150 points to 98.420.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 69 and 7 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was up 0.20% or 2.55 to $1293.05 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.18% or 1.00 to hit $44.92 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 3.06% or 1.45 to trade at $45.92 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.16% to 17.2040, while EUR/MXN rose 0.86% to 19.8392.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.51% at 92.55.
