Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Sports and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Fenerbahce Futbol (IS:FENER), which rose 3.19% or 1.38 points to trade at 44.58 at the close. Bagfas (IS:BAGFS) added 2.72% or 0.43 points to end at 16.24 and Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) was up 2.60% or 0.13 points to 5.13 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Goltas Cimento (IS:GOLTS), which lost 3.88% or 3.50 points to trade at 86.65 in late trade. Good-Year (IS:GOODY) declined 3.44% or 5.00 points to end at 140.50 and Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD) shed 2.74% or 0.170 points to 6.030.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 208 to 128 and 75 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was up 1.40% or 17.45 to $1267.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.57% or 0.26 to hit $45.59 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.68% or 0.32 to trade at $47.25 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.29% to 2.8109, while EUR/TRY fell 0.24% to 3.1866.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.47% at 93.94.
