Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 5.65% or 1.38 points to trade at 25.79 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 2.19% or 2.90 points to end at 135.40 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was up 1.10% or 0.80 points to 73.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb), which lost 2.75% or 7.2 points to trade at 254.7 in late trade. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) declined 2.62% or 4.4 points to end at 163.6 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) shed 2.40% or 6.7 points to 272.3.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 306 to 215 and 62 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.20% or 0.07 to $34.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.52% or 0.19 to hit $36.62 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.76% or 9.40 to trade at $1240.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.07% to 9.3620, while USD/SEK rose 0.15% to 8.6343.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.11% at 98.45.
