Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 3.11% or 3.90 points to trade at 129.40 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 2.37% or 0.54 points to end at 23.30 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) was up 1.50% or 2.70 points to 183.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN), which lost 1.89% or 9.5 points to trade at 493.5 in late trade. Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) declined 1.08% or 2.8 points to end at 256.7 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) shed 0.74% or 1.3 points to 174.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 326 to 211 and 50 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 2.14% or 0.70 to $33.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.65% or 0.94 to hit $36.38 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 1.07% or 13.10 to trade at $1233.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.59% to 9.3137, while USD/SEK rose 0.03% to 8.5717.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 98.33.
