Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Vopak (AS:VOPA), which rose 3.94% or 1.51 points to trade at 40.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Altice NV (AS:ATCA) added 1.86% or 0.23 points to end at 12.62 and Gemalto (AS:GTO) was up 1.12% or 0.59 points to 53.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delta Lloyd (AS:DLL), which fell 3.13% or 0.13 points to trade at 4.11 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:ISPA) declined 1.69% or 0.05 points to end at 2.96 and ING Groep NV (AS:ING) was down 1.21% or 0.125 points to 10.205.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 80 to 79 and 11 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 1.52% to 32.18.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.19% or 0.35 to $29.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.73% or 0.91 to hit $32.48 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 2.36% or 29.30 to trade at $1210.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.14% to 1.1140, while EUR/GBP rose 0.80% to 0.7790.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 96.86.
