Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.05%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 3.13% or 0.93 points to trade at 30.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 2.47% or 3.80 points to end at 157.60 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 2.29% or 1.95 points to 87.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb), which fell 1.96% or 3.0 points to trade at 150.0 at the close. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) declined 0.16% or 0.10 points to end at 63.60 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was down 0.06% or 0.1 points to 164.6.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 322 to 249 and 4 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.18% or 0.51 to $42.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.51% or 0.69 to hit $45.48 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1070.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.09% to 9.2648, while USD/SEK rose 0.07% to 8.7344.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 99.90.
