Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.82%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were TeliaSonera AB (ST:TLSN), which rose 1.38% or 0.57 points to trade at 42.01 at the close. Meanwhile, Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) added 0.75% or 0.60 points to end at 80.95 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 0.74% or 4.0 points to 542.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which fell 2.05% or 2.50 points to trade at 119.60 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) declined 2.05% or 5.1 points to end at 243.7 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was down 2.02% or 2.4 points to 116.3.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 363 to 201 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.99% or 0.83 to $40.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.79% or 0.35 to hit $44.84 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.06% or 0.60 to trade at $1081.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.21% to 9.3453, while USD/SEK rose 0.99% to 8.7125.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.65% at 99.21.
