Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Travel and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite fell 1.33%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Reds (AT:CAMr), which rose 9.81% or 0.031 points to trade at 0.347 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) added 6.25% or 0.002 points to end at 0.032 and Bank of Cyprus PCL (AT:BOCr) was up 3.57% or 0.006 points to 0.174 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr), which fell 11.82% or 0.013 points to trade at 0.097 at the close. Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr) declined 9.80% or 0.05 points to end at 0.46 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) was down 7.90% or 0.026 points to 0.303.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 50 and 6 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.58% or 17.50 to $1086.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.28% or 0.58 to hit $44.62 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.51% or 0.24 to trade at $47.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 1.26% to 1.0745, while EUR/GBP fell 0.41% to 0.7127.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.17% at 99.23.
