Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which rose 7.61% or 0.1500 points to trade at 2.1200 at the close. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) added 2.60% or 0.016 points to end at 0.631 and Select Textile (AT:EPIr) was up 1.88% or 0.003 points to 0.175 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Athens Medical (AT:AMCr), which lost 3.70% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.300 in late trade. Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) declined 3.61% or 0.090 points to end at 2.400 and Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) shed 3.04% or 0.170 points to 5.430.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 49 to 49 and 14 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.21 to $1283.91 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.58% or 0.33 to hit $57.14 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.60% or 0.38 to trade at $63.87 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.29% to 1.1629, while EUR/GBP rose 0.31% to 0.8867.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 94.56.
