Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.27% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:ALIVsdb), which rose 1.26% or 12.0 points to trade at 962.5 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 1.12% or 2.6 points to end at 234.7 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 1.05% or 5.5 points to 528.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 2.27% or 1.30 points to trade at 56.05 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 1.74% or 0.69 points to end at 39.00 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) shed 1.38% or 3.4 points to 242.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 361 to 340 and 72 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.28% or 0.15 to $53.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.34% or 0.19 to hit $55.78 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 6.45 to trade at $1231.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.06% to 9.4534, while USD/SEK fell 0.11% to 8.9233.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 101.12.
