Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences, Insurance and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which rose 5.27% or 2.0 points to trade at 40.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) added 4.43% or 2.40 points to end at 56.55 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 4.34% or 3.0 points to 72.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 1.33% or 0.20 points to trade at 14.80 at the close. DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) declined 0.52% or 0.05 points to end at 8.57 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was down 0.48% or 1.5 points to 314.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 108 to 76 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.29% or 0.12 to $41.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.44% or 0.20 to hit $44.41 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.04% or 0.40 to trade at $1064.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.10% to 9.1778, while USD/NOK fell 0.59% to 8.6450.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.30% at 99.96.
