Investing.com – Philippines equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Services, Holding Firms and Mining & Oil sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC), which rose 2.58% or 0.600 points to trade at 23.900 at the close. First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN) added 2.27% or 0.50 points to end at 22.50 and Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) was up 1.70% or 3.30 points to 197.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG), which lost 2.13% or 0.080 points to trade at 3.680 in late trade. Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC) declined 1.78% or 2.90 points to end at 160.00 and Emperador Inc (PS:EMP) shed 1.17% or 0.080 points to 6.740.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 102 to 87 and 44 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.38% or 4.65 to $1204.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.93% or 0.47 to hit $50.75 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.21% or 0.64 to trade at $53.75 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.06% to 7.2849, while USD/PHP rose 0.03% to 50.340.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 102.12.
