Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Utilities and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which rose 3.45% or 1.08 points to trade at 32.37 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.78% or 0.070 points to end at 4.010 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.60% or 0.21 points to 35.31 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which lost 2.66% or 0.75 points to trade at 27.40 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.55% or 0.078 points to end at 4.942 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) shed 1.00% or 0.14 points to 13.87.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 87 and 25 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 3.01% or 1.53 to $49.35 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.95% or 1.45 to hit $47.66 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.17% or 2.35 to trade at $1343.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.1318, while EUR/GBP fell 0.58% to 0.8611.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 94.53.
