Investing.com – Italy equities were lower at the close on Friday, as in the sectors propelled shares .

The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Mediobanca (MI:MDBI), which rose 3.88% or 0.330 points to trade at 8.825 at the close. STMicroelectronics (MI:STM) added 3.63% or 0.520 points to end at 14.840 and Banca Pop Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII) was up 3.21% or 0.156 points to 5.020 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP), which lost 1.81% or 0.45 points to trade at 24.40 in late trade. Saipem (MI:SPMI) declined 1.54% or 0.0062 points to end at 0.3956 and Campari (MI:CPRI) shed 1.27% or 0.14 points to 10.86.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 191 to 156 and 21 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.06% or 0.03 to $49.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $51.84 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.91 to trade at $1267.81 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.22% to 1.0897, while EUR/GBP fell 0.12% to 0.8416.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 98.90.
