Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which rose 2.96% or 5.0 points to trade at 173.9 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 2.23% or 3.20 points to end at 146.50 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) was up 1.93% or 1.55 points to 82.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which lost 3.78% or 5.0 points to trade at 127.3 in late trade. Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) declined 3.02% or 6.2 points to end at 198.9 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) shed 2.49% or 5.5 points to 215.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 285 to 268 and 53 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.47% or 1.48 to $44.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 3.27% or 1.45 to hit $45.77 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.25% or 3.15 to trade at $1243.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.02% to 9.1634, while USD/SEK fell 0.39% to 8.0998.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.39% at 94.37.
