Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Communication, Financials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Gazit Globe (TA:GZT), which rose 2.36% or 72 points to trade at 3119 at the close. Meanwhile, Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) added 0.79% or 460 points to end at 58780 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 0.40% or 240 points to 59590 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which fell 3.30% or 53 points to trade at 1552 at the close. Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) declined 2.73% or 23.0 points to end at 820.0 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) was down 2.26% or 1500 points to 65000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 199 to 127 and 128 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 3.53% or 1.14 to $31.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.77% or 0.91 to hit $31.93 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.97% or 10.60 to trade at $1106.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.51% to 3.9635, while EUR/ILS fell 0.17% to 4.2941.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.18% at 99.42.
