SYDNEY, Dec 6 (Reuters) - Australian government spending for consumption dipped 0.2 percent in the third quarter to an inflation-adjusted A$77.64 billion ($58 billion), the Australian Bureau of Statistics reported on Tuesday.
Investment spending by the government and public enterprises fell 10.4 percent to A$18.78 billion, implying total spending was likely a small drag on economic growth.
The data will feed into the gross domestic product (GDP) report for the third quarter due on Wednesday.
