Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.23%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb), which rose 4.23% or 7.00 points to trade at 172.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) added 3.95% or 7.5 points to end at 197.4 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was up 3.74% or 7.8 points to 216.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 0.36% or 0.40 points to trade at 109.30 at the close. Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) declined 0.17% or 0.4 points to end at 239.5 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was down 0.06% or 0.1 points to 159.6.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 317 to 124 and 5 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.92% or 0.88 to $45.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.15% or 1.06 to hit $48.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.55% or 17.40 to trade at $1103.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.24% to 9.3940, while USD/SEK rose 0.13% to 8.4169.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 96.24.
