Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Banking and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 1.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Storebrand ASA (OL:STB), which rose 3.35% or 1.85 points to trade at 57.10 at the close. DnB ASA (OL:DNB) added 2.54% or 3.4 points to end at 137.3 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 2.50% or 3.40 points to 139.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 3.80% or 0.24 points to trade at 6.08 in late trade. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) declined 3.15% or 1.51 points to end at 46.37 and Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) shed 2.81% or 0.59 points to 20.41.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 104 to 78 and 22 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.79% or 0.39 to $49.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.63% or 0.33 to hit $52.11 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.05% or 13.54 to trade at $1275.56 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.12% to 9.2922, while USD/NOK fell 1.10% to 8.5678.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.59% at 99.07.
