Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Household and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 1.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Iaso (AT:IASr), which rose 16.18% or 0.089 points to trade at 0.639 at the close. Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 8.43% or 0.0210 points to end at 0.2700 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was up 7.69% or 0.010 points to 0.136 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which lost 9.12% or 1.09 points to trade at 10.86 in late trade. Reds (AT:CAMr) declined 5.26% or 0.020 points to end at 0.360 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) shed 4.37% or 0.043 points to 0.941.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 58 to 36 and 16 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was up 0.49% or 6.15 to $1249.05 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.14% or 1.04 to hit $49.66 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.87% or 0.93 to trade at $50.57 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.01% to 1.1368, while EUR/GBP rose 0.37% to 0.7858.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 93.93.
