Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Transport, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Holdings & Investments sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.65%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL), which rose 3.00% or 0.45 points to trade at 15.46 at the close. Gozde Girisim (IS:GOZDE) added 3.00% or 0.080 points to end at 2.750 and Coca Cola Icecek (IS:CCOLA) was up 2.95% or 1.04 points to 36.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Good-Year (IS:GOODY), which lost 6.10% or 6.90 points to trade at 106.30 in late trade. Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) declined 3.92% or 0.58 points to end at 14.22 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) shed 2.50% or 0.030 points to 1.170.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 202 to 131 and 78 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for August delivery was down 0.76% or 9.20 to $1207.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.59% or 0.29 to hit $49.62 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.72% or 0.36 to trade at $50.31 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.16% to 2.9551, while EUR/TRY rose 0.07% to 3.2925.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.72.
